    President

    Steven J. Brown BEd, BHScPT, M.C.P.A. is the owner and President of Family Physiotherapy Centre. Since opening Family Physiotherapy Centre in 1999, Steve has developed a high-energy Team of Physiotherapy Professionals who excel at providing first-rate patient care and education. Steve has immersed himself in the profession by being a vital member of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and the Ottawa Hospital Community Outreach steering committee.

    Under Steve's leadership and a solid management group, FPC now encompasses an ever increasing number of Wellness Centres and health care professionals and is a pillar in Eastern Ontario's health care community.

  • Paul A. Joseph BSc.HK, BHSc.PT

    Paul Joseph was proudly born and raised in the Ottawa area and graduated from the University of Ottawa's Human Kinetics program in 1995. While there, he developed a keen interest in healthcare which lead him to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy. Paul graduated from McMaster University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy with the distinction Summa Cum Laude .
    Paul has been with Family Physiotherapy Centre (FPC) since it's inception in 1999 and has worked in both long term care facilities as well as in Wellness Centres allowing him to develop a variety of skills in order to provide current and evidenced based treatment to his clients. As a firm believer in life long learning, Paul has taken continuing education courses which include Manual therapy (Level II Upper/Lower, Mulligan), McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, a variety of Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute courses including the Lumbo-Pelvic complex certification program and has completed Waterart's Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation Specialist training.
    Paul has always had a passion for teaching and has supervised clinical placements for physiotherapy students from various Canadian Universities. He has also contributed and helped design Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Assistant training programs for FPC and assists in mentoring new graduates.
    Paul is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and an active member of the Kanata Chamber of Commerce. His treatment approach is client-centred and emphasizes education and the provision of evidence based treatment interventions. He looks forward to being part of your health and wellness team.
