Aneeka Bhalla RPT
Centre Manager Barrhaven Wellness Centre
Aneeka is a motivated young therapist dedicated to patient care. Aneeka graduated from Queens University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2010. Since graduation she has completed a variety of post-graduate courses including her Level 1 Manual Therapy certification, Acupuncture (AFCI Level 1), Therapeutic Taping, and is also McKenzie MDT Part A Therapist. She believes strongly in the importance of continuing education and plans on continually expanding her knowledge base to provide the best quality of care to her clients.
Aneeka obtained a Bachelors of Science with a minor in Psychology from Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in 2008 where she was a NCAA Division II Collegiate Athlete as a member of the SAU Women's tennis team.
Aneeka also has over 12 years of experience as a competitive tennis player and is a Tennis Canada Certified Tennis Instructor with over 10 years experience coaching, teaching children, adults and tennis camps.
Throughout those years Aneeka developed an respect and passion for the field of Physiotherapy as she quite frequently worked with her Physiotherapist for injury management and prevention.
Aneeka is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is an active member in her community. She is a member of the Marketing Committee for the Barrhaven Business Improvement Association (BBIA), The Greater Nepean Chamber of Commerce, and is also member of the executive committee for the Barrhaven Tennis Club. She has been involved with local events such as the Barrhaven Run and Canada Day in Barrhaven. -
Carol Leach, B. Sc. PT
Site Manager Perley Rideau Veteran's Health Centre Location
Carol is a registered physiotherapist with 32 years of varied clinical and management experience in both public and private sectors. Her clinical experience and the related courses she has taken have focused primarily on orthopedics and functional assessment and retraining. She has been an examiner for the National Physiotherapy Examination for 12 years and has supervised both undergraduate and Clinical Masters students. She regularly performs independent evaluations of insurance clients as well as assessment and treatment of orthopedic clients.
Her previous roles have included physician recruitment, clinic start-ups as well as management of medical and rehabilitation clinics. Currently Carol is responsible for the supervision of the Rideau and Perley Veteran's Health site for Family Physiotherapy Centre as well as assessment and treatment of residents in the facility and external clients.
