Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists (OTs) are registered health professionals who promote health and wellbeing through the enabling of participation in everyday activities, or occupations. OTs work with clients with a broad range of conditions, disabilities, or illnesses that affect their ability to carry out daily activities. OTs provide assessment that takes into account an individual's strengths and weaknesses, task requirements and environmental factors, in order to develop strategies and recommendations for treatment.

Occupational therapists work with people of all ages from infants to the aged. OTs often times work in community centres, pre-schools, schools, with charitable organizations, industry, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, private practice, universities and pharmacies.
